Sarah - Owner/Groomer
My career started 35 years ago in Southern California where I apprenticed for a groomer and fell in love with it!
A few years later I moved to Illinois, gained more experience and skills, then opened Groomingdales by Sarah in 1990. Yes, that was 31 years ago!
Groomingdales by Sarah is still going strong today, mainly because I LOVE what I do! I'm crazy happy coming into work every day. I have always been a dog lover and just adore the pups that I groom.
What sets me apart from others is that this isn't just a job; it's my life and my passion. I treat each dog I groom with the love, compassion and gentleness that I would with my own dogs. I want the dogs I groom to have fun and be happy while they are here.
In addition, I take continuing education classes regularly, so I am up to date with any new techniques and products. I can do the standard 'breed' groom or something cute or practical - whatever the customer wants!
From puppies to senior dogs, Bichon Frises to standard Poodles, I am happy when your dog goes home refreshed and looking great!
I am a proud member of the Illinois Professional Dog Groomers Association.
Callie - Groomer Assistant
Hello! My name is Callie. I’ve been working with animals since I was very young, starting with dog sitting at the age of 9 and moving my way through the dog world, from daycare to working as a vet assistant! As you can see, I have been in the animal industry for many years.
Animals have always been my passion. Being around dogs makes me happy!
Learning to groom with Sarah has been an amazing opportunity. I love my job! I can’t wait to meet your furry friends!
